Philipp Grunau studied Social Sciences at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg where he graduated in July 2011 with a diploma. Since September 2011 he works as a researcher in the department “Establishments and Employment” at the IAB. Between January 2013 and December 2015, he also held a scholarship for the joint graduate programme of the IAB and the School of Business and Economics of the university. From September through November 2015 he was a visiting researcher at the Swiss Forum for Migration and Population Studies (SFM) at the University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland). In 2016 he received his doctorate degree from the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
