Corinna Kleinert is Professor of Sociology specialising in Longitudinal Educational Research at the University of Bamberg and Head of the Department “Educational Decisions and Processes, Migration, Returns to Education” at the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (LIfBi) in Bamberg. Prior to this, she was a research assistant at the German Youth Institute (DJI) and at the LMU Munich (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München). Between 2003 and 2014, she was a member of the scientific staff in the Research Department “Education, Training, and Employment Over the Life Course” at the IAB.
Her research and academic activities focus on the issues of transition between school, vocational training and the labour market, gender and inequality research as well as survey methodology.
Corinna Kleinert is co-responsible for the conception and further development of the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS) and she is an associate editor of the journal Soziale Welt.
