Dr Zein Kasrin

Dr Zein Kasrin studied Management Technology at German University in Cairo (GUC), where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in 2007 and her Master of Science degree in 2009. Her study majors were in Economics, Finance and IT. She worked as an assistant lecturer at the Faculty of Economics of GUC from 2007 to 2012, and later as a lecturer of Economics at the International University of Technology Twintech in Yemen. She then moved to Ulm University, where she received her PhD in 2019 for her thesis titled “Female Labor Market Participation and Economic Development: Empirical Studies for Egypt and Germany”, supervised by Prof. Dr. Werner Smolny. Zein Kasrin has been working as a researcher at the IAB since August 2020.
