Jutta Winters

Jutta Winters studied politics at Philipps University Marburg, the Free University Berlin, and the University of Kent at Canterbury, UK, specializing in labour market policy and European integration. She gained her first research experience during a DFG (German Research Foundation) project on European structural policy at the Social Science Research Centre (WZB), Berlin. At the same time, she worked as an evaluator and brochure writer for institutions including the European Commission as well as labour and economic ministries at both federal and state level. From 2002 to 2003, Ms Winters studied radio broadcasting/journalism and communications at Foothill College and Stanford University in California, USA. She worked as an intern with National Public Radio in San Francisco, USA and continued to work there on a freelance basis until returning to Germany. She has been a scientific editor at IAB since June 2007.
