At a local level, the 156 Employment Agencies are responsible for the fulfilment of the tasks of the Federal Employment Agency. With the restructuring of the Federal Labour Office to become the Federal Employment Agency, the former Employment Offices became Employment Agencies. Nine Employment Agencies are at the same time research liaison offices of the IAB with one project member from the institute, respectively.
